World - class innovative and eclectic acoustic / electronic drummer. Robert Keirstead's approach to fusing both modern and traditional drums has launched him into the spotlight with the 1997-1998 World Premiere National Tour of "Cirque Ingenieux". Composed by world - renowned Kitaro (Multi - Platinum Grammy and Golden Globe Award winner) Robert harnessed over 150 drum samples fused them with traditional percussion and arrived with a formula that grabbed international endorsement acclaim by such companies as D-Drum Electronics, Drum Tech (pole pads), Drum Kat, Vic Firth Drum Sticks, Sabian Cymbals and Diesel Sunglasses. Robert's impeccable playing can now be heard on the 1998 PBS special home video release of "Cirque Ingenieux".

His background is immense in genres and full of awards (Who's Who Of American Colleges, John Philip Sousa Award) found him receiving a Bachelors of Arts Degree in music at Kutztown University (Kutztown Pennsylvania) several performances with the Allentown Symphony, three invitations to the prestigious Intercollegiate University Band and the drummer for the Award Winning Original Band (Jieva). Studying with such legendary teachers as Jim Chapin (Author, Clinician) and world - renowned players as Dave Weckl (Chick Corea, Clinician) and Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Clinician) Robert's talents have been truly honed and polished.

Robert's natural born style & charisma has landed him many public appearances as a Drum Clinician and Master Of Ceremonies (from coast to coast). He can also be seen in the international music video "The Little Drummer Boy" from the album "Surfin' Christmas" for Dwell Records and Crago Racing's 1996-1997 television commercial.

In his attempt to always be designing innovative new ways to approach the art of percussion Robert is currently utilizing his talents writing and performing on his new project "Turn Three" a techno dance album and continuing his love for educating people in the art of percussion.
